What is our Blueprint for Missions?

OCC, we've obviously entered a new year. For us as a body of believers we have the opportunity to see this year as being full of possibilities to be missional at the Beaches. Will we thrive and take on the great commission (Matthew 28:16-20) that Jesus set before us? Or will we wane into the sunset of another passing year?

Up until now, these last few talks that Derek and Jake have unpacked for us around the scripture of John 1 have centered us on the big idea that Jesus became the first and perfect missionary; him coming clothed in humanity to serve and save the lost. Derek and Jake did a great job showing us what it looked like for Jesus to do missions. The question now, since Jesus is our example, is how do we do this? What does it practically look like for us to do missions at the Beach? What blueprints can we come up with to do this individually and corporately as Ocean City Church?

The Nuts and Bolts:

This week we're meeting at Derek and Beth's. The Harmon's live at 402 7th Avenue North in Jax Beach (it's the 2-story on the left coming from 3rd Street). Parking along their house should be fine. If you have children go to OC Kids for more info.

We're meeting from 5-7pm.

By the way, our food theme is "Finger Food Frenzy"! Please bring your favorite finger food. Folks, please post what you are bringing on the OCC Facebook page, especially if you plan on bringing a meat! Can a brother get some wings?

See you Sunday!
