OCC, just wanted to let you know that we will not be having OCC This coming Sunday, which is November 28th. We know that this is a busy and fruitful season and we want to be intentional about relieving the pressure of having to add another "thing" on the 'to-do list".However, we would strongly encourage you to be gospel minded about this holiday season. Pray with your family before you do the Thanksgiving thing. Be a servant to those that you love and those you are indifferent to (or even loathe). As Christians during this time of year we are excellent at hanging out and partying with those who are like us. Feel free to step outside your "holy huddle" and let life get a little messy. Maybe there's a sibling you haven't connected with in years of a friend that has betrayed you. I don't know. Make time to give them a call or even make room for them at the dinner table.
And this brings me to the OCC Christmas Party that we are having on December 16th at the Atlantic in Jax Beach. Please, if you haven't already, begin praying for those that you would like to invite (not just your Christian clique of buddies). Also, be praying that the Holy Spirit would soften their hearts to want to come. Be normal. We'll have more details about the OCC Christmas Party as soon as possible.
Oh, and remember, there's no OCC this week!
